Let’s see, this is one rare chinese drama jh completed way before me, hahahaha. Anyway the front part is abit slow as they flesh out the various characters and set the stage for the big plots. Hence there is more urgency towards the end, as well as more epic tasks to contend with. Basically the main theme revolves around this constable house set up by this guy who recruits 4 young constables into his retinue.

Cast wise, they painstakingly put 4 great guys together, though their female counterparts may be abit lacking. I might have preferred some of the other actresses in other versions of this story. In any case, the four guys regularly take turns to show off their skills/talents, and while there was a lack of understanding, and indeed, cooperation initially, the bonds grew with each case they solved and the realisation of the importance of each unique individual in the team.

The flow of the story can generally be easily followed, since mostly its a case by case basis. And they will always reveal the truth of everything as each event draws to a close, that is if the audience had not already figured out themselves through the subtle hints and foreshadowing in the show. The final case, as with most stories of this type, happens to involve the most important person in the country, hahaha. But I sometimes find the cases to be so intricately tied together and elaborately misleading as well as coincidentally well put together that it doesn’t really makes sense in real life. (And in any case there are many people in the story who lack the brains… if you are that stupid, please don’t be a royalty…)

It is still a pretty good show in all, and I would think it will appeal to many people
