What happens when a hero is misunderstood? What happens when a hero cannot express himself? What happens when a hero is trapped in his own solitary mental prison?

Here is your typical anti-hero, Hancock, whose latest choice of residence happens to be Los Angeles. John Hancock doesn’t know his history, but he possesses vast superpowers, which he used to save many lives in the city. The catch is, the manner of his actions never fail to cause widespread property damage, and he exacts his own version of justice, which can be warped and twisted. He has this habit of threatening to shove people’s head up the ass of other people, and man… when it did really happen, it was kinda hilarious. His style of entrance and exit is often, unwelcoming as well, leaving behind debris and destruction.

On this fateful day it happened again. He saved the life of a public relations consultant. While he could have done it another way, his method caused an entire train to be derailed and stopped dead in its tracks, with some carriages toppling. Not a very nice outcome eh? And so this PR guy attempted to change Hancock’s public image for the better.

The beginning of the film had much promise, but it started to taper off towards the end, coupled with some twists which were really uncalled for. It also seems rather rushed at the end. Either that, or I had a niggling feeling that it jumped around too fast. It ended up being just another superhero movie. It wasn’t too bland though, the idea was there, the inner complexity of the superhero, but the transition wasn’t very smooth. On other notes, there are a few comedic moments in the show which really tickled my bones. To that, GOOD JOB!

One gripe I have is some minor details that were really unaccounted for, which you can call illogicality. I’m sure the seasoned pros will be able to come up with more than I noticed, so I didn’t bother to list down any. I won’t highly recommend, nor dissuade anyone from this movie. Its worth lie in the eyes of the beholder.

这部戏演员阵容强大，故事内容也还精彩，暗藏玄机，是部不容错失的好片。 片中主要故事阶段如下 （名称是本人自己编出来的）： 擒红花盗，神火飞鸦，买凶杀子，四大财神，真命天子，不死军团，豪侠内奸，直捣黄龙。

南宋年间，皇上听信谗言，让宰相秦桧在岳飞头上定下莫须有的罪名，在风波亭处决。 此后，秦桧屡次迫害忠臣，意图把持朝政，并且收买朝中文武百官，只手遮天。 且外，秦桧也买通了各路门派，并收集武林高手为以自用，包括座下四大高手： 鬼影子，幻刀，铁抓鹰王，血蝙蝠。 最难对付的是秦桧义女，狄三娘。 她深谋远虑，武功非凡，又是用毒和仪容的高手。

眼见奸人当道，前朝诸位元老聚集款项，设立一个秘密组织，号称“豪侠”。 豪侠个个忠肝义胆，侠心仁义，背负着报国的重任。 当然，他们时常与秦桧属下正面交锋，斗智斗武。 秦桧眼线遍布天下，以仅仅数人之力实在难以对抗。

结局实在叫人心酸。 难道好人就这么难当吗？ 非常鄙视那个皇帝。 唯一的不变数就是秦桧注定被世人唾骂，遗臭万年。 岳将军也受世人敬仰，成为精忠报国的典范。 人生自古谁无死，留取丹心照汗青。 再次鄙视皇帝。

Ok I shall use english >< Basically, this is the story of the maturation of 巫马, who was orphaned at an early age when his parents were murdered. He was adopted by a tai ji master and taught abit, but his master soon abandoned him. He grew up in the forest next to a village, with a semi-barbaric lifestyle, filled with hatred. Only 豐年 in the village doesn’t fear him, and his life story begins to change when the two of them decides to make their mark in the capital.

After a couple of events, 巫马 meets his master, and begins training proper. Gradually you can see him evolve into a semblance of tai ji master himself (truly evident towards the end of the show) Of course things don’t always flow smoothly, and a couple of things will keep bugging him. (1) persistence in avenging his parents (2) complicated love-hate relationships with girls due to his natural slowness in such issues + a combination of factors (3) a strong martial arts rival in the mold of 段晓星 (4) political conspiracy threatening to swallow him up

Talking about 段晓星, his daddy is the leader of this number 1 martial arts clan in the capital, 苍龙派. And eventually, he took over leadership. He is faced with the task of upholding the reputation of the sect and bringing it to higher levels, but one 巫马 (who is being manipulated) stands in the way. Initially, as a hot-headed & proud (& abit dumb) guy, 巫马 was never a match for 段晓星, who had good foundations and training from his prestigious background.

Driven by the passion to promote tai ji, (& initially to prove himself), 巫马 eventually grasp the essence of it, and he never lost again. But what stood out was his compassion, and his 武德.

Ok anyway… below are some principles of tai ji advocated in the show. Very abstract, and well… whatever
What tai ji is about is 任憑巨力來打我，掀動四兩撥千斤, idea being 以柔制剛，借力打力 / 太極之道，不在爭勝，而在不爭先 / 不丢不頂，剛柔並濟 / 以圓破直，借力打力 / 拳未到，意先到，拳不到，意亦到
It is somewhat understandable, but how do you actually get it to work in a duel, especially in a life & death situation, to remain in absolute tranquility and execute all those you have learned. I have no idea. The character did it in the show. And it shows you how he manage to thrash all other people with a matter of months of training. Hurhur…

Oh yea, one major bad point was I think the ending part wasn’t nicely done. The way certain things wrapped up was like rather slipshod and hastily done. Like almost everyone else had a grudge with 巫马 which just suddenly disappeared overnight? And how certain decisions turned on its head because the script says so. Other than that, the show rocks in the sense of the martial arts choreography.

Well well, what can I say? Most of the story elements kept true to the content in the comics. And the way it was portrayed, it did not disappoint. Kudos to Downey for bringing Tony Stark alive in the big screen. From the playboy industrialist tycoon to the self-righteous superhero he become later, the expressions, the character, it was just simply awesome.

Next up, about all the nifty high-tech stuffs that you can find in Stark’s state-of-the-art home. Simply marvelous. But I kinda think shouldn’t he have a separate “playground” for test runs or whatever. I know he is rich and all, but wouldn’t it be kinda shitty if you destroy something whenever you set the repulsor levels too high or something. And he seemed to have some fun blasting his lab when he got the repulsors working the way he wanted. Oh yeah, I think J.A.R.V.I.S. is pretty cool too, except the fact that it thinks any accident must consequently result in fire or something, or at least massive amounts of heat.

About the armored suit, I don’t blame Rhodes for wanting to play Iron Man too. Haha, if I could, I would also like to try one of those badass suit. and go vroom vroom and pew pew pew. It is damn bloody cool, something which is probably out of the league of anyone in our present timeline, or so I think. For the antagonist, all I can say is… imitation ain’t always the best course of action, and ermz, bigger doesn’t mean better… lolz

And to all who watched the little extra after the credits, well, you will see someone who is a bigshot of S.H.I.E.L.D. It opens up the way for a sequel, which is in fact, already in the plans. Oh yea, Downey will cameo as Tony Stark in The Incredible Hulk as well, as part of the unified marvel universe

Well, because, I’m back to insane levels of Guild Wars again, hahaha… Oh manz… If only I am that hardworking for mugging academics, I wouldn’t know where I would be already. That thing has taken up like 2000 hours in the past 3 years of my life. I’m still so passionate about the game its amazing, hahaha. It better not be a detrimental factor to my career (not that I have any now) Oh yea my dearest guild members, you will find a password-protected link on the sidebar over there -> and it is the initials of our guild name. You can make a long-term loan of any of my non-utilized unique equipment as long as it improves our combat capacity

Ok, the second random story is about Mother’s Day. Actually didn’t do much, we went to a particular eating outlet in IMM to sort of like have a dinner, with ermz, a big big family. 11 people me thinks. Don’t want to talk too much about it lah, but the service ain’t very good. Plus… its super ex… I think both of it boils down to it being a special occasion… bleahz

Onto happier things now First, my beloved soccer team won their second successive league title. woot woot. It was a memorable night. I watched the match live on tv. There might be a more comprehensive post on this in 10 more days. Now is not the time to talk about celebrations, hurhur. 1 match at a time guys, 1 match at a time… 1 more match to go, 1 more… BELIEVE!

Finally, about my erm, NSMen life. Well… interesting twists today I had. So the story goes, that I was not notified in any means of the need to book for my non-ICT IPPT. By right I had to have an annual IPPT you see… and of course I was not involved in any in the current window, which is about to end. So I was kinda like ermz, what to do? Better play safe right, since under statutory duty to, else prospects of fine/detention will be staring into my face. So I called the service centre. So this guy answered my query to the above. Yes yes he said all that I need to know, but is all that I already knew, and said oh maybe you know your unit sometimes maybe never notify you. Yes yes duh… I asked him to go check my unit, of coz nvr notify lah… And then the best answer he gave me was… yea your pes status suggests that you are required to go for your IPPT. No qualms about that, no problem… So I went to book… I tried you know… I tried booking online. System pops up error message saying I can only book for an IPPT date after my next birthday. So what did I do? I called again, and this time someone else picked it up, someone who probably knew better what to do. “Thank you Sir, according to our database, you are only required to go for your first IPPT window AFTER your next birthday” This despite ORD-ing more than a year ago. Cool happy response I got, not just because I do not have to go for an IPPT, but it was more a relief of a definitive answer about whether I need to go for an IPPT. No matter how strange the scenario is, oh well, I have another year to train

Finished watching this drama recently. Not too shabby, a strong cast overall. All right! Let me try something truly lame for this post, which includes my own phony power rankings (which must be a fluke coz influenced by my own idea, hahaha). This should be a very very long post considering the number of characters in the show… many spoilers ahead, long post.

水柔颂之女，生长在深谷十八年，与母亲相依为命，根本不知道外面的花花世界。是个似水冰心的隔世女子。一天巧遇铁中棠，一见钟情，两人共同经历磨难。在洛阳战役，九子鬼母见她好是喜欢，有心收她为徒，却被拒绝了。原以为盛存孝是生父，后以为铁青笺是生父，却执意喜欢铁中棠。拜入九子鬼母门下一阵子，过后被花霜双误认为是女儿，巧之习练“漫天花雨”。最后知道夜帝是生父，满是欢喜，与铁中棠重逢。

温黛黛：女
