Well, because I heard from Jiahao about the chilli rating over there. I settled on a Teriyaki Chicken Ramen with 8 chilli rating. Lolz…

I can definitely feel the spice, and it is spicier than the Volcano Ramen at Ajisen. But then again, I still didn’t need to drink. Wahaha… dunno why, I am admiring myself as one of the endangered breeds in our tiny nation left. One day I must try out the famous spicy buffalo wings at ermz, wherever it is. But I need to gather enough chilli gods in my circle of friends. Until then…

What happens when a hero is misunderstood? What happens when a hero cannot express himself? What happens when a hero is trapped in his own solitary mental prison?

Here is your typical anti-hero, Hancock, whose latest choice of residence happens to be Los Angeles. John Hancock doesn’t know his history, but he possesses vast superpowers, which he used to save many lives in the city. The catch is, the manner of his actions never fail to cause widespread property damage, and he exacts his own version of justice, which can be warped and twisted. He has this habit of threatening to shove people’s head up the ass of other people, and man… when it did really happen, it was kinda hilarious. His style of entrance and exit is often, unwelcoming as well, leaving behind debris and destruction.

On this fateful day it happened again. He saved the life of a public relations consultant. While he could have done it another way, his method caused an entire train to be derailed and stopped dead in its tracks, with some carriages toppling. Not a very nice outcome eh? And so this PR guy attempted to change Hancock’s public image for the better.

The beginning of the film had much promise, but it started to taper off towards the end, coupled with some twists which were really uncalled for. It also seems rather rushed at the end. Either that, or I had a niggling feeling that it jumped around too fast. It ended up being just another superhero movie. It wasn’t too bland though, the idea was there, the inner complexity of the superhero, but the transition wasn’t very smooth. On other notes, there are a few comedic moments in the show which really tickled my bones. To that, GOOD JOB!

One gripe I have is some minor details that were really unaccounted for, which you can call illogicality. I’m sure the seasoned pros will be able to come up with more than I noticed, so I didn’t bother to list down any. I won’t highly recommend, nor dissuade anyone from this movie. Its worth lie in the eyes of the beholder.

woot woot… I got my first proper salary. But it’s not alot actually, only working as a temp staff. Its erm, barely covering 6 months of my confirmed liabilities (excluding transport, food and such necessities). So yea… dun expect any treats Anyway, its exchanged for with hard work… For the love of god, (even though I may feel sian), no temp staff will feel aggrieved with boring repetitive mundane jobs that are not too difficult to understand and execute. But down here, a temp staff is overloaded with stuffs I’m not sure he is supposed to be doing.

Linking mega spreadsheets together, often with complex formulas, lookups, and links, and ensuring the final figure matches with a pivot table constructed from the union of mega reports generated from the accounting system. If YOU are reading this, please know that I am only human. I look around at the other temp staffs and wonder how their output values compare, and with that, I do not think you can find any fault with me. As it stands, I don’t see any reason to push myself further because there is definitely no chance of advancement as a temp job, and I’m already producing beyond my reward.

T-files, rental checking, contra-balance, daily vor, BA… what do you want me to do?? No matter how capable you think of me, I am only human. I intend to stop work on the 18th July, period. I need a life, my life, outside work, which I’ve barely had this summer. I have my own schedules, my commitments, my ambitions… so, just, leave me alone.

This is a friggin’ retarded day… You see, one should never be late when hitching a free ride from somebody, but of course I had to get to that place, not the person coming to my block… And it happened that I missed the bus (700). So I took an alternate bus (184) to somewhere I still have to walk… And it turned out, I’m still on time, a second 700 pulled up at the stop before my free ride came -.- But still, one must never be late when hitching a free ride…

On Karene’s car, I looked down and sort of saw a loose thread on my shirt, or so I thought. What happened? I tugged at it, more thread came out, but still attached, so I was like… just wait till I get to the office to scavenge for a pair of scissors. When she dropped me off, and I probably walked like 30 steps, I saw my shirt’s bottommost button drop to the ground… (I was still tugging at the thread. Then I was like WTH… that was the flimsy piece of thing that secured the button!!! So what can I do to that thingie? God knows, I held on to the loose thread, and to the button, something can be done I’m sure, but you wouldn’t expect any sort of sewing tools in an accounting office do you? I darted my eyes around, and… hunted (like a predator) for SOMETHING… I found the “something”. Its the STAPLE! I had the loose thread, I had a staple. YES! Lets make a mini sewing needle. And man, I tell you, it is by no means easy, that friggin’ thing is so tiny! Maximum improvisation, and I sewed that stupid piece of button back (though its not exactly perfect…) Oh yea, see the picture below? The button on the left is sewn back by me, not aligned and wrong degree… but WHO CARES! I got the friggin’ button back on, the rest of the work will be done by my mum

Hmm, that incident aside, work today was supremely boring. And it is indeed a case of 大材小用. Guess what they got me to do? Fold letters… put into envelopes… seal envelopes… paste stamps… That was oh… such a fun assembly-line like work… Ever wondered if it is possible to do that for the WHOLE DAY. Yes I mean it, the whole friggin’ day, lunch break aside. Take a look at those 2 pictures below… Thats the amount of letters I made in the day… Not funny… Before you think otherwise, those 2 stacks are NOT the same letters…

Ok… let’s not worry about the letters for now. I pity the someone who had to send it out… haha… I’m having letter-phobia. But the worst thing is… I slept on the bus on the way home, and for the first time (I think), I did not magically wake up at the correct stop… Took 961 mind you, when I realised what was going on, the bus was speeding along mandai road… Got down at Kranji MRT and decided to take train home for a speedier journey… Sucks… Nothing goes right today eh? For added kicks… I ate $6 worth of food today at the hawker centre for lunch… Thats 2 servings. Blah… wasting all my money on food…

Well well… Looks like I’m blogging less now that I’m working isn’t it? It probably accounts for 70% of the reason, but not the entirety. (Lets talk about the rest later) Regarding work, it is amazing how the short 3 weeks so far, it was good, much much much more enjoyable than the kind of work I spent doing in the 1.75 years in you know where. Colleagues are nice, and there will be random talks here there on various random topics. The manager is nice too, and sometimes gimme lil’ bit of munchies here & there. The supervisor is nice too, and the person I’m helping is nice too! Ok, there are more females in the dept but that was not the point, hah! Even the guys in there are generally nice, approachable and they don’t treat you like a puny temp staff to be thrown all the shit. Its great to know people remember your names, and I will remember names (if I get to know them in the first place) I’ve been thru many things, and even as a puny temp staff now, calling people by their names still receive great reception. Hey… here is someone who will remember you.

On other news, why am I so busy now? Hahahaha…. Well, I’m re-addicted to DotA. Spent quite a bit of time honing back whatever skills I had in the game, and establishing new mindsets and strategies. Had some fun with my bro I’m definitely not a professional gamer. But I think amongst the casual gamers, I tend to always fall above the average. Yea man… I have a knack of learning games. (Sometimes it is also because I have a big ego… which can be a weakness really… I play to win, ’nuff said)

Finally, about Euros 08, the hot topic now eh… For a soccer fan I had been really quiet about this. None of my supported club’s players are left in the tournament… Many of my predictions went kuku… In fact this do not only apply to me. I mean… so many favorites are now out of the tournament… Portugal… Croatia… Netherlands… To be fair, Russia looked like a dark horse ready to pounce, unbelievable from them. That Arshavin looked like a special little player. Lets continue to watch… Will Germany or Spain now have their way on the glorious path, or will more giant slaying await us?
